OUR ATTORNEYS

PARTNER
David was born behind the Iron Curtain, in Riga, Latvia. In 1979, a bright-eyed David arrived aboard a Pan Am flight to Kennedy Airport. His family settled in Brooklyn and he’s been a bagel-loving Brooklynite since.
David attended New York University, graduating with a B.A. in History. After a gap year, getting his feet wet at a New York City law firm, David decided law was his true calling and went on to receive his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
Since being admitted to the New York State Bar in 2003, his practice has been focused solely on the areas of Family and Matrimonial Law. Throughout the last decade he has become intimately familiar with every aspect of this complicated area of the law, but more importantly he has become familiar with the judges, referees, and support magistrates that decide these cases in the Family Courts and Supreme Courts of the five boroughs of New York City.

ASSOCIATE
Lindsay J. Rechan, Esq.
Lindsay’s capacity for quick-witted and fervent advocacy became immediately apparent when she appeared before The Family Court of the State of New York for the County of Kings just two days after being admitted to the New York State Bar.
Lindsay earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Syracuse University, with an integrated major in Forensic Science and minor in Psychology. At Syracuse, Lindsay completed a thesis concentrating on the value and vulnerability of consultation-liaison psychiatrists as expert witnesses.
Lindsay earned her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she engaged in a year-long clinic with The Innocence Project as a post-conviction DNA Litigation intern. As a clinic intern for Bronx Defenders Family Defense Practice, Lindsay discovered her passion for Family Law and defense of parents facing serious child protective allegations.
Lindsay was a Staff Editor and Assistant Symposium Editor for the Cardozo Journal of International and Comparative Law and interned at The Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Appeals Bureau. She spent time in Cardozo’s two-week Intensive Trial Advocacy Program where she learned to compose nuanced legal arguments and utilize effective courtroom tactics which have translated into her daily representation of clients before the Courts of the State of New York.
Lindsay and her cat, Eloise, live in Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, New York.
